The Assistant General Manager position at Crown Hotel & Travel Management, LLC is a full-time role that offers a chance to contribute meaningfully to the daily operations and success of the hotel. This critical leadership role supports the General Manager by overseeing hotel team management, particularly focusing on front desk operations and guest relations. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous customer service experience of at least one year
  • branded hotel experience
  • knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • valid driver's license
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • physical ability to perform tasks including walking, climbing stairs, kneeling, reaching, crawling, twisting torso, and lifting up to 20 pounds
  • ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • ability to resolve conflicts and handle guest issues tactfully
  • meet legal age requirements
  • maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance

Job Qualifications

  • Ihg and/or Hotelkey experience highly recommended
  • previous front office supervisory or management experience in a hotel setting highly recommended
  • one year of customer service experience required

  • ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • ability to use moderately complex computer systems

Job Duties

  • Hire, train and supervise hotel team with a focus on front desk agents
  • conduct performance evaluations and coach associates
  • maintain hotel standards set by brand and management company
  • operate hotel in General Manager's absence
  • assist with scheduling, billing and accounts receivable
  • plan, organize, assign and coordinate daily activities and special projects to ensure guest service standards
  • monitor payroll budget to align labor costs with forecast
  • handle guest complaints with effective solutions
  • resolve rate conflicts and facility issues
  • manage information systems for file maintenance and reports
  • conduct front office staff meetings to provide training and foster positive work environment
  • attend hotel staff meetings and coordinate with department heads
  • establish and enforce front office policies and safety regulations
  • assign duties and monitor staff performance
  • collaborate with department heads to coordinate activities
  • respond to inquiries about hotel services, registration, and local attractions
  • process advance registration payments
  • personally greet VIP guests
  • issue instructions to hotel team as guided by General Manager
  • review group resumes, event schedules and daily reports for staffing
  • prepare and modify weekly schedule based on business needs
  • review and approve payroll reports
  • submit and follow up on maintenance work orders
  • perform subordinate duties as needed
