Job Description
Urban Air Adventure Parks is the leading indoor adventure park operator globally, headquartered in Dallas, Texas. It is recognized as the pioneer of the indoor adventure park concept and continues to set the standard in location-based entertainment. Urban Air's primary mission is to encourage children to have fun while inspiring them to aim higher and achieve goals they once thought unattainable. The company has built a strong reputation by combining thrilling attractions, engaging entertainment, and a family-friendly atmosphere designed to create memorable experiences for guests of all ages. Urban Air Daytona Beach operates under this renowned brand, offering an exciting destination filled with activities that promote physical activity and social interaction in a safe and controlled environment.
The role of Assistant General Manager at Urban Air Daytona Beach is a pivotal position focused on leading and sustaining the operational excellence of the park. This role involves motivating a dynamic team, fostering accountability, and delivering outstanding customer service while upholding the company's culture of "Activating Awesome." The Assistant General Manager provides comprehensive leadership, supervision, and strategic direction to staff, ensuring that business goals are met and exceeded through effective management of all operational aspects including entertainment, food and beverage, attractions, and property maintenance. This leadership role demands the capability to develop and implement staff training, retain talent, and cultivate a supportive work environment that motivates employees and maximizes productivity.
Key responsibilities in this role include directing team members to achieve high performance, assisting with hiring and staff retention, creating effective work schedules, leading staff motivation efforts, and managing inventory and expense control. The Assistant General Manager must also ensure the execution of all employee recognition and incentive programs, maintain a safe and clean environment for both guests and staff, and continuously improve operational execution through strict adherence to Urban Air's standards. This role requires a leader who can adapt to the fast-paced, often noisy environment of an indoor adventure park while maintaining professional grooming, conduct, and communication standards. The position also demands flexibility to work during weekends, evenings, and holidays to support the operational needs of the park.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of supervisory or management experience, preferably within hospitality sectors such as theme parks, family entertainment centers, hotels, resorts, casinos, or restaurants. The candidate should possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, excellent communication capabilities, and a positive, energetic attitude that inspires those around them. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred but not mandatory. Urban Air values diversity and seeks a leader who embraces inclusivity and demonstrates excellent judgment in decision-making. This opportunity not only supports career growth within a recognized industry leader but also offers the chance to be part of a vibrant company culture dedicated to providing fun and rewarding experiences for families and employees alike.
