Known for its dynamic and employee-focused culture, Peregrine Hospitality upholds principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, making it an equal opportunity employer that welcomes a broad range of applicants. The company supports its employees with ongoing development opportunities, competitive compensation, and a commitment to workplace safety and fairness. The property where the Assistant General Manager role is positioned benefits from this corporate support, embracing the vision and mission of delivering superior resort experiences to guests and ensuring smooth operational performance across departments.
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager with the development and execution of all hotel operations while maintaining the integrity of the hotel’s service standards. Serving as the right hand to the General Manager, the AGM oversees daily operations across all resort departments such as Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Banquets, and Food & Beverage. This leadership role requires ensuring positive, professional relationships with guests, employees, sales teams, and vendors, while managing key financial aspects of the property. The AGM’s responsibilities include verifying compliance with brand standards, maintaining licenses and permits, ensuring safety and OSHA compliance, and overseeing various operational and financial reports to enhance productivity and reduce costs. A significant part of the role involves team leadership and development, including coaching, scheduling, and fostering a culture of high performance and positive employee engagement.
In addition to managing the operational and financial sides of the resort, the Assistant General Manager is deeply involved in enhancing the guest experience by being approachable, proactive in dealing with guest concerns, and motivating staff to excel in customer service. The role demands excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, along with a proactive and creative vision for continuous improvement. The Assistant General Manager sets clear performance expectations, participates in annual quality audits, and ensures thorough orientation of new team members. This role requires working flexible shifts based on business needs, with a pay range of $58,000 to $65,000 annually and eligibility for performance-based incentives. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform activities such as bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
Overall, the Assistant General Manager position at Peregrine Hospitality offers a dynamic and challenging opportunity to advance a career in hotel management by contributing to both the operational success and guest satisfaction of a reputed resort property. The role promises engagement with a professional team, opportunities for leadership development, and the chance to positively impact both employee morale and guest experiences while working in a supportive and inclusive environment.
