The company is currently seeking an experienced HVAC Assistant General Manager to oversee its Residential Service and Installation division. This senior leadership role is pivotal in managing and optimizing daily service center operations to ensure smooth functioning, profitability, and exceptional customer service. The Assistant General Manager will play a key role in executing operational strategies, managing staff, and supporting the General Manager to foster a culture of continuous improvement, high performance, and customer satisfaction. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $130,000 to $160,000 annually with bonus potential that could push total compensation to $200,000. In this role, the Assistant General Manager will be responsible for leading the designated service center operations, including staff management such as hiring, training, disciplining, evaluating performance, and scheduling. The role requires implementing and managing operational plans and budgets to meet profit and growth targets, maintaining key operational statistics like call tracking and daily sales, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position also entails supporting sales generation activities, resolving customer issues promptly, and ensuring the highest possible quality of installation and service work. Coordination with warehousing and inventory management functions is also part of the responsibility to maintain efficient service delivery.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 4-6 years of experience in service operations management
- Related experience or advanced training or equivalent education and experience
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electricity and air flow
- Trade licensure desired
- Valid driver’s license
- Working knowledge of local codes and industry standards
- Strong supervisory, communication, computer and mathematical skills.
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 4-6 years of experience in service operations management
- Related experience and/or advanced training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration preferred
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electricity and air flow
- Trade licensure desired
- Valid driver’s license required
- Working knowledge of local codes and industry standards
- Strong supervisory, communication, computer and mathematical skills.
Job Duties
- Manages and develops designated service center operations staff including hiring, terminating and disciplining employees, setting work priorities, conducting staff meetings, scheduling employees, counseling employees, coordinating training, evaluating performance and directing work assignments to ensure effective operations
- Implements operational plans and budgets to achieve profit and growth goals
- Monitors departmental expenditures
- Enters and maintains operational statistics including call tracking, daily sales, technician tracking, vehicle maintenance
- Manages daily service center operations ensuring adherence to procedures and quality standards for installations and services
- Performs or manages service functions to ensure quality work, competitive pricing and appropriate production goals
- Manages support functions for implementation and compliance with office procedures, record maintenance and reporting
- May manage warehousing functions ensuring inventory accuracy, timely warranty claims and proper housekeeping
- Participates in sales generation by seeking new business, creating sales materials, and providing sales training
- Resolves customer issues and complaints ensuring customer satisfaction
- Monitors changes in regulatory, economic, and competitive environment affecting service center operations
- Assists in establishing and monitoring internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Promotes and maintains a safe, accident-free, and healthy work environment
- Oversees safety reporting
- Monitors dispatching operation to ensure workload distribution based on technician availability, expertise and priority.
