The role of Assistant Manager at Sho Pizza Bar offers a unique opportunity for a skilled and motivated hospitality professional to contribute significantly to the operational success of the new site while developing leadership capabilities within a renowned culinary organization. This full-time or part-time position is designed for a candidate ready to take a pivotal step forward in their management career, working closely with the General Manager and Front of House (FOH) Managers. The Assistant Manager will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of service, managing daily restaurant operations, and fostering a positive team environment. Key responsibilities include supervising both front-of-house and back-of-house teams during shifts, managing scheduling, onboarding and training new staff, handling guest concerns with professionalism, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The position requires a detail-oriented and guest-focused individual who is passionate about hospitality and eager to advance into a senior leadership role within Sho Pizza Bar's growing organization. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of restaurant management or supervisory experience
  • strong knowledge of both front-of-house service and general restaurant operations
  • demonstrated ability to lead a team with professionalism, energy, and accountability
  • valid food handler and alcohol service certifications or willingness to obtain
  • availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • proficiency with POS systems and basic scheduling tools

Job Duties

  • Support the General Manager and FOH Managers in overseeing daily restaurant operations
  • supervise and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house staff during assigned shifts
  • ensure consistent delivery of Sho's service standards and guest experience expectations
  • assist with scheduling, onboarding, training, and performance management of team members
  • handle guest concerns and service recovery with professionalism and urgency
  • monitor floor operations, table flow, and service pacing during peak service
  • assist with ordering, inventory management, and operational administrative tasks
  • open and close the restaurant in accordance with established procedures
  • ensure compliance with Tennessee health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
  • serve as a leadership resource and culture carrier for the Sho team
