The Apprenticeship Program at Chipotle offers a unique opportunity for motivated individuals to grow into General Managers and become leaders within the company. Apprentices work closely with experienced leaders, gaining hands-on experience in managing day-to-day restaurant operations. This role combines learning with practical application, enabling Apprentices to develop skills in hiring, training, scheduling, managing budgets and sales forecasting, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. Chipotle’s Apprentices are expected to uphold the company’s high standards of hospitality and food safety, ensuring every customer enjoys the fast, friendly service that Chipotle is known for. The position is full-time, with a standard 50-hour workweek, including evening and weekend shifts, and offers competitive hourly pay in the range of $17.45 to $19.40. Apprentices are also eligible for quarterly performance bonuses, highlighting Chipotle's commitment to reward dedication and excellence.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in restaurant management preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for 10 hours a day
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs/25kgs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Availability to work a 50-hour workweek including evenings and weekends
  • Commitment to uphold food safety and operational standards

Job Duties

  • Be guest obsessed – uphold top-notch standards of excellence and hospitality
  • Act as the leader on duty, ensuring speed of service, accuracy, and positive guest experience
  • Train and develop crew members utilizing Chipotle’s training tools and resources
  • Ensure digital orders are delivered accurately and on time
  • Learn to run the day-to-day operational business of your restaurant (creating and managing a schedule, P&L management, sales-forecasting, recruiting and interviewing)
  • Ensure the dining room remains clean and the restaurant is always guest-ready
  • Uphold food safety, operational, and compliance standards
  • Work a standard 50-hour workweek (with applicable overtime paid), including evening and weekend shifts
