WKS Restaurant Group is a dynamic and rapidly growing multi-concept franchise restaurant developer and operator. This job opportunity is for the position of Assistant General Manager at a Wendy's restaurant under the WKS Restaurant Group umbrella. The Assistant General Manager plays a vital role in supporting the General Manager in managing day-to-day restaurant operations, overseeing staff, and ensuring the store meets its objectives. This position requires a strong leadership presence and a thorough understanding of company operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing all company policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and upholding ethical business standards.
In addition to operational duties, the Assistant General Manager participates actively in crew orientation, training programs, and ensures that the team is well-prepared to deliver the best customer experiences. The role demands the ability to read and interpret operational documents, safety rules, and maintenance instructions, as well as the capability to write routine reports and communicate effectively with employees and customers. Mathematical skills such as the ability to perform basic computations and interpret graphs are essential to manage inventory, sales reports, and scheduling.
Qualified candidates will have a combination of formal education and practical experience. Typically, this includes a one-year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months of related experience and/or training. Certifications such as Serve-Safe are required, and within 90 days of hire, candidates must attend a Crew Interviewing Workshop to enhance their management skills. WKS Restaurant Group provides an attractive benefits package, including medical, vision, and dental insurance that becomes eligible the first day of the month following 30 days of employment. Paid vacation is accrued bi-weekly, starting at two weeks annually, with an increase to three weeks after the fifth-year anniversary.
