Job Description

OneLife Fitness is a leading fitness club company committed to delivering exceptional health and wellness experiences to members across its extensive network of clubs. Known for fostering a community-driven atmosphere, OneLife Fitness emphasizes member satisfaction, expert coaching, and innovative fitness programs to create a welcoming environment for individuals at all fitness levels. With a focus on continual growth and excellence, the company invests in top-tier facilities and a highly motivated team dedicated to supporting members' wellness journeys.

The role of Assistant General Manager at OneLife Fitness is integral to advancing membership growth and ensuring smooth club operations. As an energetic and people-first leader, you will play a critical part in coaching and inspiring the membership team to meet and exceed sales and revenue goals. Your leadership will extend across multiple departments, including front desk and housekeeping, promoting a cohesive and efficient club environment. Partnering closely with the General Manager, you will help drive the delivery of an outstanding member experience daily, reinforcing the club’s reputation for excellence.

This full-time position offers competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan and paid time off. You will enjoy a complimentary club membership along with guest privileges, discounts on training, spa services, and apparel, and opportunities for continued education and certification within the company. The role requires flexibility to work varying hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, underscoring the commitment to being present and leading by example.

As Assistant General Manager, your responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, and developing membership consultants and departmental staff. You will oversee at least one department’s scheduling, performance reviews, hiring, and disciplinary actions, ensuring high standards are consistently met. Leading the membership team involves hosting club tours, converting prospects, and managing accurate onboarding and paperwork. You will also be tasked with tracking sales leads, running detailed reports, and supporting club-level marketing and outreach initiatives. Safety, service excellence, and maintaining the club’s appearance form the backbone of the member experience you will uphold.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills combined with a professional and friendly presence. Success in this role requires comfort with basic computer systems including MS Office and CRM/sales tracking software. CPR/AED certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire, reflecting the company’s commitment to safety. While a High School Diploma or GED is mandatory, preference is given to those with a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, business, or related fields, accompanied by two or more years of sales or management experience.

Joining OneLife Fitness as an Assistant General Manager means becoming part of a dynamic team dedicated to professional growth and fostering a positive community impact. The company’s equal opportunity employment practices promote diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds. If you are passionate about leadership, sales, and the fitness industry, this opportunity offers a rewarding career path with significant growth potential.
