The Apprenticeship opportunity at Chipotle is designed for those who aspire to lead and grow within the company, moving towards General Manager roles. As an Apprentice, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, learning the intricate details of running a successful fast-casual business. This includes mastering skills in staff hiring and training, delivering a guest-obsessed experience, and understanding operational business functions such as financial management, sales forecasting, and scheduling. The position offers a hands-on leadership experience, with apprentices acting as the leader on duty, focusing on speed of service, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. Apprentices will also manage digital orders, uphold food safety and cleanliness standards, and ensure the restaurant remains guest-ready. The role demands energy and physical stamina, as it involves working a fast-paced kitchen environment, often requiring standing for long hours, lifting heavy items, and operating under varying temperature conditions. Apprentices are compensated with a base hourly wage estimated between $18.00 and $20.03, in addition to quarterly bonuses based on performance. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand and walk for 10 hours a day
  • Capability to lift 50lbs/25kgs
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Previous experience in restaurant management preferred

  • Previous restaurant management experience preferred, including scheduling, P&L management, food safety, sales forecasting, scheduling, and recruiting

Job Duties

  • Be guest obsessed - uphold top-notch standards of excellence and hospitality
  • Act as the leader on duty, ensuring speed of service, accuracy, and positive guest experience
  • Train and develop crew members utilizing Chipotle's training tools and resources
  • Ensure digital orders are delivered accurately and on time
  • Learn to run the day-to-day operational business of your restaurant (creating and managing a schedule, P&L management, sales-forecasting, recruiting and interviewing)
  • Ensure the dining room remains clean and the restaurant is always guest-ready
  • Uphold food safety, operational, and compliance standards
  • Work a standard 50-hour workweek (with applicable overtime paid), including evening and weekend shifts
