Job Description
Border Foods began as a humble idea between two brothers aiming to open a Mexican restaurant and has since expanded into one of the largest privately held Taco Bell franchisees in the United States. With a foundation deeply rooted in family values and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences, Border Foods prioritizes a people-first mantra that resonates throughout every level of the company—from cooks and cashiers to restaurant managers and beyond. The company prides itself on fostering a culture where employees can learn, evolve, and influence the future while embracing Border Foods' core values such as accountability, integrity, family, excellence, teamwork, and empowerment. Border Foods is dedicated to creating safe, welcoming, and supportive workplaces where every employee and guest can thrive. This dedication ensures that the company's mission of making lives better is realized daily through genuine connections and a commitment to excellence.
The Assistant Manager at Border Foods plays a pivotal role in upholding these core values by leading the restaurant team and maintaining excellent operational standards. This position is responsible for overseeing the entire restaurant operation, ensuring that both employees and guests have positive and enriching experiences. The Assistant Manager not only supports the day-to-day functions but also strategically plans short- and long-term goals to drive restaurant success. This role involves guiding team members, including shift leaders, to deliver safe, quality food paired with friendly service, while adhering to all health, safety, and legal standards. Additionally, the Assistant Manager is entrusted with labor and inventory control, managing profit and loss statements, and ensuring compliance with cash handling policies, contributing to the restaurant's financial health.
At Border Foods, the Assistant Manager is empowered to build strong, cohesive teams through motivational leadership and effective communication, fostering an environment of unity and recognition. The position encourages development opportunities for team members, including training, coaching, and providing guidance, embodying the empowerment core value. Border Foods also offers flexible scheduling, top industry pay, and a comprehensive bonus program that allows Assistant General Managers to earn up to an additional $20,000 annually. The company supports employees through education programs, including GED and tuition reimbursement, as well as scholarship opportunities. Benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance are available even for part-time roles, complemented by paid vacation, sick leave, holiday pay, and a vacation donation program. The Assistant Manager role at Border Foods is not only a leadership position but a chance to be part of a family that deeply values career growth and support in a vibrant and inclusive culture. With a salary range of $14 to $35 per hour, this position offers competitive compensation aligned with experience and performance. If you are passionate about hospitality, leadership, and making a meaningful difference in the workplace and community, Border Foods invites you to apply and take part in shaping what comes next.
