Job Description

Border Foods began as a humble idea between two brothers who had a vision to open a Mexican restaurant. Since then, it has blossomed into one of the largest privately held Taco Bell franchisees in America, holding a strong presence in the fast-food industry. Border Foods is deeply rooted in a people-first mantra that focuses on the wellbeing and growth of every team member, from cooks and cashiers to restaurant managers and beyond. The company prides itself on fostering a culture of inclusiveness, support, and continuous learning, making it a welcoming workplace where employees can thrive professionally and personally. This commitment to employee development is aligned with their mission of making lives better not only for their customers but for their team as well.

As an Assistant Manager at Border Foods, your role is pivotal in reinforcing the company’s Core Values which include Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment. Serving as a leader within the restaurant, you will help unlock the full potential of employees and enhance the guest experience by creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment. The Assistant Manager is tasked with overseeing the entire operation of the restaurant, ensuring smooth daily functions and building a strong, motivated team that consistently delivers great food and friendly service. This position carries significant responsibility as it directly impacts both employee satisfaction and customer delight, making the restaurant a standout location.

Your mission includes cultivating an atmosphere of accountability and integrity, guiding team members and shift leaders to meet high standards and complete assigned duties effectively. Additionally, you will manage scheduling, monitor team performance, and uphold health and safety standards rigorously. Border Foods encourages creating unity through strong teamwork, open communication, and the ability to handle challenging situations with poise and guidance. As a representative of the company, you will actively work to resolve customer complaints with sincerity and a commitment to effective solutions.

The role also involves strategic planning and resource management to drive restaurant success, including monitoring profit and loss statements to make financial adjustments. You will be involved in sourcing, hiring, and training new team members, ensuring each individual is set up for success. Minimizing loss through strict cash handling policies and efficient operational practices is also a key function. Empowerment plays a major role as well, with an emphasis on building team capabilities, providing learning and development opportunities, and coaching employees to grow their skills and confidence.

Border Foods offers competitive pay ranging from $14 to $35 per hour, flexible scheduling, and a robust bonus program for Assistant General Managers, with the potential to earn up to $20,000 annually in bonuses. The company is also dedicated to supporting employees through education programs, including GED and tuition reimbursement, scholarships, and medical, dental, and vision benefits even for part-time workers. Additional perks such as free food, paid vacation time, sick leave, holiday pay, and a vacation donation program further enhance the employee experience. Border Foods fosters an incredible culture that encourages career growth and continuous support for all team members.

This opportunity is located in Wellington, CO, and offers a unique chance to be part of a thriving organization that values family, teamwork, and excellence.
