Job Description

Border Foods began as a vision shared between two brothers with a passion for Mexican cuisine and entrepreneurship. Over time, this small idea blossomed into one of the largest privately held Taco Bell franchisees in America, renowned for its commitment to quality, community, and exceptional service. As a company that operates a vast network of Taco Bell locations across multiple states, Border Foods is dedicated to fostering a people-first culture that emphasizes the importance of every team member, from entry-level cooks and cashiers to experienced restaurant managers and corporate staff. This dedication has helped the company build a reputation for excellence and for creating a family-like atmosphere where employees grow both personally and professionally.

Working at Border Foods, employees embrace core values such as Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment. These principles guide daily operations and the company's overall mission of making lives better—whether through superior guest experiences or by creating supportive workplaces where individuals can thrive. Border Foods believes in unlocking the potential of its employees by cultivating safe, welcoming, and inspiring environments ideal for career development and meaningful achievements.

The role of Assistant Manager at Border Foods is critical to this mission. As an Assistant Manager, you will be entrusted with upholding the company’s core values while overseeing the full operations of a busy restaurant. Your leadership will help build and maintain a strong, motivated team committed to delivering high-quality food and friendly customer experiences consistently. This position demands a person who is accountable, works with integrity, and is passionate about developing others and driving excellence throughout every facet of the restaurant.

Assistant Managers have flexible scheduling options and access to some of the best pay in the industry, ranging from $14 to $35 per hour with the potential to earn an additional $20,000 annually through a bonus program. Beyond competitive wages, Border Foods offers numerous educational programs that include GED support, tuition reimbursement, and scholarship opportunities. Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans are available for all employees, including part-time team members, ensuring comprehensive coverage and peace of mind. Other valuable benefits include free food during shifts, paid vacation time, sick leave, holiday pay, and a vacation donation program designed to support employees in times of need.

This role requires someone with strong leadership skills capable of strategic planning, financial acumen to interpret profit and loss statements, and a hands-on approach to hiring, training, and coaching team members. You will enforce safety and health standards, ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and bring a solutions-focused mindset to customer service challenges. This position is not only about managing day-to-day restaurant operations but also about inspiring your team to be empowered and engaged by fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment.

If you are a motivated individual with at least one year of restaurant or retail experience, a passion for team building, and a commitment to exceptional operational standards, the Assistant Manager position at Border Foods offers a rewarding career path with ample opportunity for growth. Join Border Foods and become part of a company where your contributions truly matter and your career can flourish in a culture that values family, integrity, and excellence every day.
