Job Description

Row 34 is an award-winning, high-energy oyster bar known for its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional seafood offerings. With multiple locations across Boston's Seaport, Cambridge, Kenmore Square, Burlington, MA, and Portsmouth, NH, Row 34 has established itself as a go-to destination for oyster lovers and hospitality enthusiasts. The Burlington location, conveniently situated across the street from the Burlington Mall and easily accessible via Route 3 and I-95, embodies the brand's commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. Row 34 prides itself on creating a welcoming and dynamic environment that balances a fun, energetic vibe with professional service and culinary excellence. The team at Row 34 is passionate about delivering an outstanding dining experience that highlights the best of fresh seafood alongside a curated selection of beer and beverages.

We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) for our Burlington location to join our dedicated leadership team. This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role designed for a hospitality professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and values team development and operational excellence. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, with a primary focus on the front-of-house service and team management. This role entails ownership of server operations including scheduling, interviewing, hiring, training, and maintaining high service standards. The AGM actively engages on the floor during service hours, providing coaching, troubleshooting challenges, and setting a positive tone that reflects Row 34's commitment to hospitality. This role balances both visible leadership on the dining floor and behind-the-scenes operational support to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.

The Assistant General Manager is expected to lead with energy and a strong presence, fostering a team-first culture that unites front-of-house and back-of-house staff in delivering a seamless guest experience. Key responsibilities extend beyond service operations to include maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant restaurant environment and stepping in to support any area as needed to keep operations running smoothly. The compensation for this position ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience, and includes benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan with company match, dining discounts, paid vacation, and more. If you have over three years of management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant and a passion for hospitality, this opportunity at Row 34 offers an exciting career path within a growing restaurant group that values leadership, excellence, and team development.
