Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a leading fast-casual restaurant chain dedicated to providing responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made from wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Established in the United States and expanding globally with locations in Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle is unique in the industry due to its ownership and operation of all its restaurants across North America and Europe. Chipotle stands out not only by serving food quickly but also by prioritizing quality and sustainability, challenging the traditional fast-food experience by creating a better world through ethical dining and innovative business practices.
At Chipotle, the mission is to cultivate a better world by making better food accessible to everyone. The company attracts employees who are passionate about superior guest experiences and who share a commitment to environmental stewardship, digital innovation, and sustainable business practices. Chipotle’s forward-thinking approach includes supporting the future of farming and engaging in meaningful conversations that advance the food industry. The company’s values-driven, people-first culture fosters an inclusive and supportive work environment where respect, diversity, and personal growth are priorities.
The Apprenticeship opportunity at Chipotle offers a dynamic pathway for individuals aspiring to become General Managers. Apprentices work closely with leadership teams to understand the day-to-day operations of a Chipotle restaurant. This role is designed for those who have a guest-obsessed passion for hospitality and a strong desire to learn and grow within the company. Apprentices support operational management, contribute to hiring and training efforts, and help deliver an exceptional experience for every guest who walks through the door. This position provides comprehensive exposure to key aspects of restaurant management, including scheduling, profit and loss management, sales forecasting, recruiting, and team leadership.
As an Apprentice, you will be expected to lead by example as the leader on duty, ensuring fast, accurate service and maintaining a clean, guest-ready dining area. You will uphold food safety and compliance standards while contributing positively to the team culture. Chipotle values employees who bring enthusiasm, a commitment to learning, and an aptitude for people development. This role includes a standard 50-hour workweek with evening and weekend shifts, recognizing the demanding but rewarding nature of restaurant management.
The compensation package for this role is competitive, with an estimated base pay range from $17.45 to $19.40 per hour, plus eligibility for quarterly bonuses based on individual and business performance. Chipotle offers extensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, tuition assistance subject to eligibility, paid time off, holiday closures, and opportunities for career growth. Employees benefit from a supportive environment that values advancement, making Chipotle an excellent place to build a long-term career in hospitality and restaurant management.
Chipotle Mexican Grill is an equal opportunity employer committed to fair employment practices at every level of the organization without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. The company prioritizes creating a workplace where everyone feels respected and empowered to realize their full potential. Qualified applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and can request accommodations to participate fully in the hiring process.
