We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Hotel Manager to support the operations of our property. This role is instrumental in enhancing guest and employee satisfaction while ensuring the financial success of the hotel. The Assistant Hotel Manager collaborates closely with the General Manager by assisting in the development and implementation of property-wide strategies that align with the Marriott brand service standards and business objectives. This leadership role is vital in managing daily operations across all departments such as guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales, and human resources.

The position involves verifying that all brand standards and policies are upheld and that the hotel consistently meets or exceeds guest expectations. The Assistant Hotel Manager also plays a key role in managing financial processes including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, cash handling, and banking procedures, ensuring compliance with corporate accounting standards. Supporting the development and management of departmental teams is central to the role, requiring strong leadership skills to promote professionalism, energy, and enthusiasm among staff. The role also demands a focus on guest experience management by ensuring excellent customer service practices and proactively addressing guest concerns.

In addition, this position oversees human resource responsibilities, including facilitating orientation for new employees, addressing workplace concerns, and ensuring hiring practices comply with legal requirements such as I-9 and EEO. The Assistant Hotel Manager champions a safe and inclusive working environment that adheres to health and safety regulations such as OSHA and MSDS. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
  • or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • 2 years experience in related areas
  • Knowledge of OSHA/MSDS compliance
  • Ability to manage finance and accounting functions
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2-4 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping or related areas
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple departments
  • Excellent customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Verifies that all brand standards are maintained
  • Manages the operation of all property departments
  • Promotes Guarantee of Fair Treatment and Open Door policies
