Within this dynamic framework, the Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a pivotal role in steering restaurant operations and leadership. An AGM at WenJAI supports the General Manager by maintaining the daily operations and managing the restaurant staff to meet and exceed business goals. This role demands high energy, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to uphold and model company standards in every aspect of restaurant management. The AGM is entrusted with delivering an outstanding customer experience by ensuring each shift runs smoothly, operational procedures are diligently followed, and team members are effectively trained and motivated.

The position is integral in developing future leaders within the restaurant by assisting in the recruitment, selection, training, and development of Shift Supervisors and Crew Members. Through fostering a positive team environment and promoting a culture of engagement among employees, the Assistant General Manager contributes directly to the success and growth of the restaurant location. Additionally, the AGM is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, aligning business practices with ethical standards, and supporting the overall achievement of store objectives. This role requires strong communication skills to work collaboratively with various team members including the General Manager, other managers, and frontline employees.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in restaurant leadership or management preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Capacity to communicate effectively with team members at all levels
  • Ability to comply with company policies and procedures
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
