Established as a hub for sports fans and wing lovers alike, Buffalo Wild Wings combines a lively environment with quality food and excellent customer service. This company specializes in providing an energetic atmosphere that encourages social interaction while delivering expertly prepared dishes and beverages. With a robust national presence, Buffalo Wild Wings prides itself on maintaining high standards for food quality, safety, and overall guest experience across all its locations.

The Assistant General Manager position at Buffalo Wild Wings is a dynamic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the success of a single restaurant location. This role is focused on supporting the General Manager in whole-restaurant operations, including recruiting and training both management and hourly team members. The Assistant General Manager ensures that company standards for safety, sanitation, food quality, and guest service are continuously met. Their involvement extends to marketing efforts aimed at attracting new guests and building strong community relations. Operational responsibilities also include managing staffing processes such as reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and onboarding employees to maintain adequate staffing throughout shifts.

Leadership is central to this role, as the Assistant General Manager plans and leads shift meetings, provides performance feedback, and recognizes hourly team members to foster motivation and accountability. They handle employee relation matters in coordination with Human Resources and oversee shift performance to ensure profitability targets are met, balancing labor costs, and food expenses. Additional duties involve conducting administrative tasks, including daily audits of time punch records and documentation of all guest and employee injuries or incidents.

The role requires enforcement of compliance with industry standards such as SERV Safe Alcohol, Food, and HACCP protocols, as well as adherence to PCI compliance for all purchase card transactions. Inventory management duties include receiving and rotating stock and ensuring cost-of-sales targets align with legitimate targets. The Assistant General Manager also assists with the rollout of new company programs, policies, and procedures to maintain operational consistency and excellence. Physical demands of the job involve considerable standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and other activities essential to maintaining a smooth restaurant operation.
