Chipotle is seeking Apprentices eager to develop into future General Managers by supporting day-to-day restaurant operations. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and leadership who want to grow their careers within a dynamic and rapidly expanding organization. Apprentices will gain hands-on experience managing a restaurant, including hiring and training teams, maintaining service excellence, overseeing operational standards, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. This position entails working approximately 50 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, with overtime pay applicable.

As an Apprentice, you will act as a leader during shifts, ensuring speed, accuracy, and a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. You will be trained with Chipotle's comprehensive tools and resources to develop your crew members and uphold high standards in food safety, cleanliness, and compliance. You will also manage digital order fulfillment to guarantee timely and accurate service. Through participation in recruitment, scheduling, profit and loss management, and sales forecasting, Apprentices will learn the critical skills required to successfully operate a restaurant business. The role demands physical stamina, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in various temperature environments, ensuring preparedness for the energetic pace of restaurant operations.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk around the restaurant for 10 hours a day
  • Ability to lift 50lbs./25kgs.
  • Previous restaurant management experience preferred
  • Ability to work a standard 50-hour workweek including evenings and weekends
  • Strong communication skills
  • Passion for hospitality and guest experience

Job Duties

  • Be guest obsessed - uphold top-notch standards of excellence and hospitality
  • Act as the leader on duty, ensuring speed of service, accuracy, and positive guest experience
  • Train and develop crew members utilizing Chipotle's training tools and resources
  • Ensure digital orders are delivered accurately and on time
  • Learn to run the day-to-day operational business of your restaurant (creating and managing a schedule, P&L management, sales-forecasting, recruiting and interviewing… you get the idea)
  • Ensure the dining room remains clean and the restaurant is always guest-ready
  • Uphold food safety, operational, and compliance standards
  • Work a standard 50-hour workweek (with applicable overtime paid), including evening and weekend shifts
