The role of Restaurant Manager at Runza4 is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing and managing all operational aspects of the restaurant. This full-time position is designed for a motivated and experienced leader who can make key decisions that impact daily business success. The manager is entrusted with maintaining company standards and service levels to boost sales and minimize costs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and upholding the restaurant's professional image. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Proficient in typical computer software programs such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Proficient in restaurant functions including food planning, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports
  • Must attend and successfully complete Runza University
  • Must possess a valid drivers license
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to perform all restaurant level functions
  • Must be able to stand, bend, grasp, twist, wrap, push, pull, and lift products and supplies up to 60 pounds
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or its equivalent (i.e., G.E.D.)
  • Proficient in typical computer software programs (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficient in dimensions of restaurant functions including food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies, personnel management, and recordkeeping
  • Completed Runza University training
  • Possess a valid drivers license
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Prior successful restaurant management experience
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Leadership abilities to motivate a team
  • Pleasant, polite, and outgoing disposition

Job Duties

  • Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance
  • Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize operating costs
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and Health Department standards and regulations
  • Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
  • Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food and service
  • Supervise portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste
  • Estimate supplies and resale needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule delivery
  • Track and report inventory in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Ensure positive guest service in all areas and respond to complaints, taking appropriate actions
  • Ensure a safe working and guest environment
  • Manage shifts including daily decision making, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards
  • Prepare weekly schedules and ensure the restaurant is staffed for all shifts while scheduling at or below target hours
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs
  • Recruit, interview, and hire team members as needed
  • Oversee the training of team members using Runza training guides
  • Develop team members by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations, and conducting check-ins
  • Discipline team members as needed
  • Mentor and promote team members to become management candidates
  • Provide a strong presence in the local community and engage in community involvement
