Job Description

WKS Restaurant Group is a dynamic and rapidly expanding multi-concept franchise restaurant developer and operator, currently managing over 300 store locations across 17 states. As a licensed franchisee, WKS operates a diverse portfolio of well-known restaurant brands including El Pollo Loco, Wendy's, Denny's, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Blaze Pizza, and Corner Bakery Café. This expansive reach and variety in concepts highlight WKS's significant presence in the restaurant franchising industry, enabling them to provide extensive career opportunities and a supportive work environment across multiple culinary specialties.

Wendy's, a key brand under the WKS Restaurant Group umbrella, is a leading fast-food restaurant chain known for its fresh ingredients and innovative menu. The company is committed to delivering excellent customer service and operational excellence across all its franchises. The role of Assistant General Manager at Wendy's is integral to this mission, as it supports the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations and overall management of the restaurant. This position requires a hands-on leader who ensures the execution of all company policies, procedures, programs, and systems while maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness that Wendy's customers expect.

The Assistant General Manager assists in staffing, training, and supervising the restaurant team, fostering a productive and positive work environment. The role also involves monitoring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as upholding ethical business practices throughout the operations. By actively participating in achieving store objectives, the Assistant General Manager plays a critical role in the financial performance and customer satisfaction of the location.

Individuals entering this role can expect comprehensive benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance starting the first day of the month following 30 days of employment, along with life insurance coverage. Additionally, employees are offered a 401k plan with a company match of up to 4% and immediate vesting, available after one year of employment. Paid vacation time is also provided, beginning with two weeks annually and increasing to three weeks after five years of service.

To succeed in this position, candidates should have knowledge of Wendy's operating systems, company policies, supervisory practices, crew orientation and training programs, and employment laws at all levels. The educational requirements include a one-year certificate from a college or technical school or three to six months of related experience or a combination of both. Strong language, mathematical, and reasoning skills are essential to manage the various responsibilities of the role effectively. Certification such as Serve-Safe and completion of a Crew Interviewing Workshop within 90 days of hire are required to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

This job opportunity is offered through one of WKS Restaurant Group’s many franchisees. As an independently owned and operated entity, Wendy's franchises may have variations in compensation, benefits, and career development programs compared to company-owned locations. However, all uphold the core values and standards that have made Wendy's a beloved brand worldwide.
