Wendy's, one of the premier fast-food chains under the WKS Restaurant Group, is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant General Manager to join their team. This role is designed to support the General Manager in efficiently managing the operations and staff of a Wendy's restaurant, ensuring the smooth execution of all company policies, procedures, programs, and systems. The Assistant General Manager plays a vital role in achieving the store's objectives by following company guidelines and maintaining compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, as well as ethical business practices.

The successful candidate will be entrusted with various responsibilities, including overseeing daily restaurant operations, supporting staff supervision, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards. This position requires a high level of organizational skill, strong leadership qualities, and the ability to motivate and develop team members to perform at their best. You will have direct involvement in the execution of crew orientation and training programs, reinforcing a positive workplace culture and ensuring all employees are well-equipped to meet operational goals.

In addition to operational duties, the role involves maintaining strict adherence to safety and health regulations and participating in problem-solving activities related to the restaurant’s business processes. To support these efforts, the Assistant General Manager must have a solid understanding of the company’s operating systems and supervisory practices, as well as a working knowledge of employment laws and training methodologies.

This position requires at least a one-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as the capacity to write reports and effectively speak before groups. Mathematical skills including basic arithmetic and percentage calculations are also required.

Candidates must be able to attend a Crew Interviewing Workshop within 90 days of hire or promotion and must obtain Serve-Safe Certification.
