This role offers an incredible opportunity to become part of a thriving Wendy's franchise located in Austin, TX, at 1000 East 41st Street. The Assistant General Manager (AGM) position available is ideal for individuals with at least one year of experience in assistant management roles within fast food or restaurant concepts. This position is crucial to the daily operations of a busy Wendy's location and involves supporting the General Manager in all facets of restaurant management. Candidates in this position should be goal-oriented and customer service focused, able to lead a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

As an Assistant General Manager, you will not only assist in managing day-to-day operations but also play a significant role in driving the restaurant’s success. This leadership role includes responsibilities such as scheduling and managing staff, ensuring financial controls and targets are met, coaching and developing team members, and maintaining health and safety standards. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year assistant manager experience in high volume food service concepts preferred
  • flexibility to work 50-55 hours per week with rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas
  • valid driver’s license and access to private transportation
  • consent to background screening
  • able to walk and stand for long periods
  • able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • demonstrated leadership ability in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • customer service oriented

Job Duties

  • Oversee restaurant’s daily operations
  • maintain day-to-day financial controls
  • create and manage staff schedules
  • interview, hire, train and orientate team
  • oversee coaching, counseling and developing staff and managing team relations
  • exercise proper food handling, equipment maintenance and facility management
  • ensure health and safety inspections and standards are met
  • set the tone for the fun, family environment in the restaurant
