The role of Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Wendy's, particularly within the WenJAI Restaurant Group franchises, is a vital leadership position that significantly impacts the daily operations and success of the restaurant. The AGM works closely with the General Manager to oversee employees, manage daily workflow, and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and systems. This position is responsible for guiding the team to exceed customer expectations consistently and achieve business goals during the shifts they supervise. The Assistant General Manager also plays a key role in staff development by assisting in interviewing, training, and recommending Shift Supervisors and Crew Members, thereby building a strong, capable team. Given the fast-paced million-dollar business environment, the AGM must maintain high energy and high operational standards to promote a teamwork-oriented atmosphere. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Help run a million-dollar business through high energy and high standards
  • understand the right way to do business and help the team act accordingly
  • assist with building bench strength by developing successful Crew and Shift Supervisors
  • maintain a team atmosphere
  • assist the General Manager in maintaining daily operations and staff
  • participate in the achievement of store objectives
  • ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and ethical business practices
  • assist in interviewing, recommending, selecting and training Shift Supervisors and Crew Members
  • work and communicate effectively with the store team including General Manager, Restaurant Managers, Shift Supervisors and Crew Members
