Job Description
Twin Peaks is a renowned casual dining restaurant and bar chain widely recognized for its distinctive mountain lodge atmosphere, exceptional hospitality, and quality food and beverages. Established with a commitment to providing an unparalleled dining experience, Twin Peaks combines a warm, inviting environment with attentive service to ensure guests enjoy both delicious meals and a lively, entertaining setting. Known for its signature cold draft beer served at 29 degrees and flavorful menu offerings, Twin Peaks places a strong emphasis on guest satisfaction and operational excellence. The company's culture promotes professionalism, teamwork, and a passion for hospitality, making it a preferred dining destination for a diverse clientele.
The position available is that of an Assistant Manager at the Twin Peaks location in Reno, NV (4905 S. Virginia St., Reno, NV 89502). This role is integral to the restaurant's daily operations and overall success. As an Assistant Manager, the individual will work closely with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and the entire team to maintain a profitable store environment while delivering best-in-class service and hospitality. This role requires a hands-on approach where the Assistant Manager actively participates in daily store management, coaching, training, and team development. They are responsible for managing costs, recruiting and retaining staff, ensuring compliance with company policies, and upholding safety and sanitation standards according to health department requirements and EcoSure certifications.
The Assistant Manager is expected to foster a positive and motivating work environment where team members are inspired to achieve their best. This includes effectively teaching, motivating, coaching, and disciplining staff, maintaining updated training programs, and managing employee documentation. The role demands strong organizational and prioritization skills combined with a professional demeanor and a commitment to upholding the brand’s standards. Candidates must demonstrate dependability, excellent guest hospitality, and leadership qualities, including conflict resolution and staff accountability. With a focus on operational excellence, the Assistant Manager ensures inventory control, PNL (profit and loss), COGS (cost of goods sold), and labor cost management are executed diligently with support from senior management.
This is a leadership position that offers substantial growth opportunities for individuals who aspire to progress within the company’s management ranks. Assistant Managers are encouraged to seek development alongside the Assistant General Manager and General Manager to advance to higher management roles. The work environment is fast-paced, often involving exposure to kitchen fumes, wet or humid conditions, and a noisy atmosphere typical of busy restaurant settings. Nevertheless, the role carries significant responsibility for maintaining a fun yet professional atmosphere, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and consistently delivering excellent guest experiences.
This employment opportunity at Twin Peaks offers a platform for dynamic, motivated individuals to thrive in the hospitality industry by playing a pivotal role in shaping the dining experience and business outcomes. Candidates passionate about guest service, team leadership, and operational management will find this position rewarding and challenging, with clear expectations regarding professionalism, uniform standards, and dedication to brand promise.
