The position of Assistant General Manager is a critical leadership role within this restaurant framework. The Assistant General Manager acts as a key team builder and mentor, working closely with Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Team Members to ensure that the restaurant runs smoothly and meets all operational goals. Acting as the General Manager in their absence, the Assistant General Manager ensures that all aspects of restaurant performance—including quality, service, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety standards—are maintained at the highest level.

This role involves overseeing staff performance, scheduling shifts, handling customer concerns effectively and professionally, and leading by example to promote a positive and efficient work environment. The Assistant General Manager is an essential link between the management team and front-line employees, ensuring clear communication and fostering a culture of trust and accountability. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Fluent in English
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and shifts
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift 50-75 lbs comfortably
  • Positive attitude
  • Commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
  • Must have reliable transportation, driver's license, and proof of insurance
  • Must have telephone or reliable method of communication

Job Qualifications

  • Current student or high school diploma/GED preferred
  • Previous assistant manager or shift leader experience
  • Certified in all stations and as a shift leader following the training program
  • Effective communicator with co-workers and management
  • Excellent organization, planning, time management, delegation, and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Follow the steps outlined in the training program to learn and train new skills
  • Abide and enforce rules and directions given by the Restaurant Management Team
  • Communicate with immediate supervisor when additional training is needed
  • Conduct regular operational walks and Q&A checks to identify areas for improvement
  • Organize team member shift schedules and monitor attendance
  • Assign duties based on team members' roles and skills
  • Greet guests, take orders, and serve food and beverages with a helpful attitude
