We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant General Manager to join our team. This position reports directly to the General Manager and represents a newly created role designed to support the comprehensive leadership and operational needs of the Magic Castle. The Assistant General Manager will oversee a team of approximately thirty service employees, predominantly part-time high school and college students, leading them in a supportive and collaborative environment. This role requires a candidate who thrives in a leadership capacity, exhibits strong organizational skills, and possesses a positive and encouraging attitude that aligns with our established culture. The ideal candidate will not only supervise but actively participate alongside the service staff, fostering a sense of teamwork and shared responsibility.

The Assistant General Manager will be instrumental in executing the company’s strategic initiatives, including participation in social media marketing efforts and event planning. Responsibilities include assisting in hiring processes, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and contributing to marketing campaigns and event coordination for various occasions such as group bookings and birthday parties. This role offers significant flexibility regarding employment type and compensation, accommodating full-time students during the school year with full-time hours in the summer, or a full-time salaried position for professionals year-round. Compensation ranges from $21 to $28 per hour for hourly roles, or an annual salary between $45,000 and $60,000 for full-time positions, with an additional performance-based bonus potential of $4,000 annually.
