With a thriving presence nationwide, Goldfish Swim Schools have built a reputation for fostering a supportive and family-oriented atmosphere where every child can learn to swim with confidence and joy. Each location operates as an independently owned franchise, allowing franchisees to tailor wages, benefits, and employment conditions to their local markets. One such location is Goldfish Swim School in New Rochelle, New York, a premier swim education facility serving infants as young as four months up to children aged 12 years. Employing a proven, confidence-building curriculum, Goldfish Swim School provides a transformative experience encouraging safety and aquatic skill development, fostering a lifelong love of swimming among young learners. The school’s commitment to excellence is reflected in its high standards for staff training, customer service, and facility maintenance, making it a leader in the aquatics education industry.

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) position at Goldfish Swim School, New Rochelle, offers an exceptional opportunity for driven individuals seeking a rewarding management career in a dynamic, people-centered environment. As AGM, you will play a central role in assisting the General Manager with the day-to-day operations of the facility, supporting a diverse team including swim instructors, lifeguards, and customer service representatives. This leadership role encompasses various responsibilities such as overseeing facility standards, supporting staff development, coordinating class scheduling, and contributing to marketing and sales initiatives to enhance enrollment and community engagement. The position is full-time with an expected starting salary range of $50,000 to $65,000 annually and includes opportunities for professional growth as the school continues to expand in the region.

In this role, the Assistant General Manager will ensure Goldfish Swim School’s core values of Integrity, Compassion, Trust, Accountability, and Fun are upheld throughout the operation. You will help maintain a safe, sanitary pool environment in compliance with all safety protocols and support emergency preparedness procedures. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with Deck Supervisors and other staff to optimize class schedules, enhance customer experience, and drive team performance through coaching and training. Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, payroll systems, and administrative tools is essential to streamline operations and track sales and staffing metrics effectively.

Ideal candidates for this role are experienced leaders with at least three years in supervisory positions, possess a college degree or higher education, and demonstrate a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and families. Skills in problem-solving, creative thinking, and effective communication are crucial to successfully meet challenges and foster a thriving workplace culture. The position may require some evening and weekend work, reflecting the hours of operation and programming needs of the swim school.
