This role is a full-time position based at Residence Inn Berkeley with a competitive salary range from $70,000 to $75,000. The Front Desk Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all daily front desk operations, including check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and resolution of guest inquiries. The person in this role will ensure that all front desk functions adhere strictly to hotel policies and brand standards. Responsibilities include managing guest records, billing and payment accuracy, cash handling, coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance to guarantee room readiness, fostering a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, monitoring staff performance, providing coaching and feedback, and recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising front desk associates. The supervisor will also address and resolve guest complaints and special requests promptly and professionally.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in front desk or hotel operations
  • at least 1-3 years in a supervisory role
  • Experience with property management systems and hotel reservation software is preferred
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
