Currently, Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is seeking an Assistant Front Office Manager. This position is integral to the front office team, supporting the delivery of professional and engaging service to all guests. The Assistant Front Office Manager plays an essential role in overseeing front office and guest services operations, conducting interviews and departmental training sessions, and providing hands-on support whenever necessary. This position ensures seamless communication between departments to address special guest needs, facilitating smooth arrivals and departures, and managing guest billing in cooperation with internal teams.

The role involves managing room blocks for special attention guests, return guests, and groups, as well as ensuring compliance with all financial and credit procedures under the guidance of the Financial Manager. Responsiveness to guest requests and concerns is a central duty, alongside taking decisive action on matters related to guest and employee safety, security, satisfaction, and well-being during times when senior management is unavailable. The Assistant Front Office Manager is expected to respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies or safety incidents and uphold the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism in handling all guest interactions, including resolving complaints. Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of luxury hotel experience in a supervisory or management role of Front Office or Rooms Division
  • Flexible schedule to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evenings and some overnights
  • Proficient reading, writing and oral skills in English
  • Must provide work authorization document proving eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of luxury hotel experience in a supervisory or management role of Front Office or Rooms Division
  • Experience conducting interviews and departmental training
  • Proven ability to manage guest services with professionalism
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies
  • Experience handling financial and credit procedures
  • Leadership skills and ability to conduct performance evaluations
  • Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evenings and some overnights
  • Proficiency in English language

Job Duties

  • Always offer professional and engaging service
  • Assist in overseeing the Front Office and Guest Services including conducting interviews, departmental trainings, and providing hands-on support
  • Ensure seamless communication between pertinent departments regarding guest special needs
  • Assist in conducting performance evaluations and disciplining staff when needed
  • Coordinate arrivals and departures for guests
  • Work with internal departments regarding billing
  • Block rooms for special attention guests, return guests, and groups
  • Assure all financial and credit procedures are followed and follow up on credit problems with Financial Manager
  • Follow up with guest requests
  • Take action in matters related to safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of hotel guests and employees when senior managers are unavailable
  • Respond swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situation
  • Resolve customer complaints with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism
