This recognition reflects the company's dedication to a respectful and inclusive environment where coworkers thrive. Kwik Trip specializes as a convenience store chain providing not only fuel and retail services but also a notable food program that focuses on convenience, freshness, and customer satisfaction. The culture emphasizes treating others how they themselves would like to be treated, building strong relationships within the community and fostering a supportive, family-type work atmosphere.
The company values energetic, outgoing, and positive individuals who want to make a real difference in the communities they serve. At the heart of Kwik Trip's success is their team, which is known for being fun, ambitious, and energetic, creating an enjoyable work environment that enhances the guest experience. The company also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and profit-sharing bonuses amounting to 40% of pre-tax profits distributed back to coworkers with additional bonuses based on profitability ranging from 8-12% of gross annual wages. This rewarding compensation structure reflects Kwik Trip's mission of employee investment and recognition.
The role of the Assistant Food Manager at Kwik Star 1927 is pivotal within their food program. This full-time position, primarily working 2nd shift, pays between $17.00 to $23.79 per hour, with exact compensation dependent on the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency, and internal equity. The Assistant Food Manager is tasked with overseeing food preparation and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are maintained to meet the highest quality expectations. This leadership role involves delegating tasks efficiently, training new coworkers, and resolving customer complaints professionally and effectively.
Moreover, the Assistant Food Manager leads by example, setting high standards for exceptional customer service and ensuring the entire team remains focused on achieving daily operational goals. Responsibilities also include assisting with merchandising and maintaining a clean, inviting store environment that reflects the company's values. Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities are crucial, along with the capability to motivate the team to complete tasks and meet goals consistently.
Kwik Trip offers a dynamic and fast-paced work environment ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with people and have a passion for food service management. The company supports career growth extensively, providing pathways from retail leadership positions to roles in their Support Center and Production and Distribution Facilities. Many Assistant Food Managers have developed their skills to take on new challenges and assume advanced leadership roles within the organization.
In summary, joining Kwik Trip as an Assistant Food Manager not only offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits but also provides an opportunity to be part of a company that prioritizes employee well-being and community impact. It is a role suited for motivated, team-oriented individuals who have a background in food service and customer engagement and who desire to grow within a respected, family-owned company focused on long-term success and employee satisfaction.
