Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • Or two-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • One year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • Ability to operate department equipment and understand budgets
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Availability to work full-time and manage daily operations
  • Knowledge of food and beverage policies, standards, and legal requirements
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Proactive problem solving and guest service skills
  • Approachable and professional demeanor

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with three years experience in food and beverage or culinary or related professional area
  • Or a two-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with at least one year experience in food and beverage or culinary or related professional area

Job Duties

  • Assists in the ordering of food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms
  • Supervises daily food and beverage shift operations ensuring compliance with policies, standards and procedures
  • Supports and supervises an effective monthly self-inspection program
  • Operates all department equipment as necessary and reports malfunctions
  • Supervises staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives
  • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • Develops goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
  • Celebrates and fosters decisions that result in successes as well as failures
  • Communicates areas needing attention to staff and follows up to ensure understanding
  • Coordinates cleaning program in all food and beverage areas identifying trends and recommending improvements
  • Follows property specific second effort and recovery plan
  • Stays readily available and approachable for all team members
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the brand specific service culture
  • Provides services that exceed customer satisfaction and retention expectations
  • Serves as a role model demonstrating appropriate behaviors
  • Manages day-to-day operations ensuring quality and standards meet customer expectations
  • Takes proactive approaches in dealing with guest concerns
  • Sets a positive example for guest relations
  • Stays readily available and approachable for all guests
  • Reviews comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
  • Responds promptly to customer service department requests
  • Provides information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in writing, email, or in person
  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose best solutions and solve problems
  • Performs hourly job functions if necessary
