Job Description

Terra is our distinctive lodge set in one of Canada's most iconic destinations, offering guests a unique blend of hospitality and natural beauty. As part of the prestigious Pursuit Collection, Terra exemplifies a commitment to creating unforgettable experiences that connect people to remarkable places. Pursuit is a publicly traded hospitality and attractions company listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol PRSU and is a member of the S&P Small Cap 600 index. With locations spanning Alaska, Montana, the Canadian Rockies, Vancouver, Reykjavik, Costa Rica, Las Vegas, and Chicago, Pursuit brings together global teams passionate about adventure, authentic hosting, and delivering excellence in the guest experience.

This full-time, regular Assistant Manager position at Terra begins in May 2026 and offers a unique opportunity to lead day-to-day operations of our hotel restaurant and special events. The role demands a versatile and proactive individual who can manage everything from intimate dinners to grand weddings and large conferences with meticulous attention to detail and outstanding customer service. As the backbone of the restaurant team, you will supervise staff, ensuring high standards in food hygiene, safety compliance, and impeccable cleanliness across all food and beverage areas.

In this role, you will play an integral part in recruitment, training, and ongoing management of your team, fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere. Inventory management is a key responsibility, including overseeing weekly orders, maintaining organized and neat storage, and conducting monthly inventory counts with precision. You will address customer complaints directly and promptly to uphold the guest experience.

The role also involves creativity and leadership in menu development and cocktail creation, contributing your passion and ideas to enhance the dining experience. Leading the execution of weddings, conferences, and signature events requires your exceptional coordination skills to ensure every detail is flawlessly executed. Daily billing and financial accuracy are essential components of the job, as is effective communication within the team to relay guest feedback, employee performance, and shift notes.

Flexibility and adaptability are crucial, as you will provide support across multiple venues and outlets within the lodge, adjusting schedules and workflows to meet dynamic business needs while maintaining consistent quality and service standards.

Pursuit values diversity, inclusion, and fostering environments where team members can bring their whole selves to work. We offer a collaborative culture that balances work and play, with a variety of attractive benefits and opportunities to grow within a global hospitality leader. Joining Pursuit means being part of a team that values lifelong connections, supports mental health and wellness, and encourages creativity and innovation through diverse perspectives.
