Job Description

The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Villas, located in San Antonio, Texas, is a premier destination nestled on 300 acres of historic ranch land. This expansive resort offers a unique blend of relaxation and recreation, featuring amenities such as a 27-hole golf course, a five-acre water park, scenic biking trails, and a luxurious spa. Known for its commitment to exceptional Texas hospitality, Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Villas provides guests with an unforgettable experience, making it one of the leading resorts in the region.

Within this vibrant setting is the Springhouse Cafe, a casual dining restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The resort is currently seeking an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join their team. This key role involves overseeing the food and beverage operations within the cafe, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery that meets Hyatt's high standards of quality and guest satisfaction. The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager will work closely with another Assistant Manager as well as the Food and Beverage Manager to manage various operational aspects. This includes scheduling staff, forecasting needs, training employees, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as internal operating procedures. An important part of this role is also to coordinate special events held at the hotel, catering to diverse guest needs and occasions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and analytical skills, vital for managing cost control in food and beverage services and effectively leading staff in a fast-paced environment. The position demands adaptability with a flexible work schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Job Requirements

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule during the week including weekends and holidays
  • Minimum of 2 years food and beverage management experience preferred
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong organizational skills
