The role of Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at Grand Hyatt DFW is designed for a motivated, service-oriented leader ready to dive into hands-on management experience. This position supports the food and beverage leadership team by overseeing the daily operations of key hotel outlets including the restaurant, bar, and in-room dining services. The role occasionally extends to banquet operations, demanding adaptability and responsiveness to varying business needs. Job Requirements

  • Must currently reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth area
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and business-demand periods
  • Previous food and beverage supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Experience in restaurant, bar, and/or in-room dining operations strongly preferred
  • Previous hotel food and beverage experience preferred
  • Banquet or event service experience helpful, but primary experience should be in outlets
  • Strong guest service, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead colleagues in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment
  • Strong floor presence with the ability to support service execution in real time
  • Knowledge of restaurant service, bar operations, in-room dining, responsible alcohol service, and hotel operations preferred
  • Basic understanding of labor management, inventory, cost control, revenue awareness, and daily operational reporting preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with culinary, stewarding, rooms, banquets, and hotel operations teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting business needs
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and applicable local regulations
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, scheduling tools, payroll systems, property management systems, and Microsoft Office preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist in managing daily food and beverage outlet operations, with primary focus on the restaurant, bar, and in-room dining
  • Support banquet operations on occasion, including event setup, service execution, staffing support, and guest/client needs as business levels require
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence during meal periods, peak outlet volume, bar service, in-room dining activity, and special hotel events
  • Support the Food & Beverage leadership team in delivering consistent service standards, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence
  • Lead, coach, and support food and beverage colleagues during assigned shifts
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, pre-shift meetings, daily communication, side work completion, and shift accountability
  • Monitor guest service, cleanliness, product quality, service timing, table maintenance, bar presentation, and overall outlet readiness
  • Partner with culinary, stewarding, front office, housekeeping, engineering, security, banquets, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Support in-room dining operations, including order accuracy, delivery timing, presentation standards, amenity delivery, and guest follow-up
  • Assist with bar operations, including responsible alcohol service, beverage standards, product knowledge, inventory support, and guest engagement
  • Respond to guest concerns and service opportunities promptly, professionally, and with appropriate follow-up
  • Help ensure colleague compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, sanitation standards, food handling requirements, and alcohol service regulations
  • Assist with scheduling, labor tracking, payroll review, staffing plans, and daily deployment of colleagues as assigned
  • Support inventory, ordering, supply levels, equipment needs, cash handling, and operational readiness
  • Review guest feedback, service scores, and operational trends to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Promote a positive, respectful, inclusive, and accountable team environment
  • Support VIP experiences, holiday programming, promotional activations, outlet events, and hotel initiatives as needed
  • Act as a food and beverage leader on duty when assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Food & Beverage leadership
