We are currently seeking a motivated and dynamic Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our team at Capital City Club City. This full-time position presents an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about food and beverage service and eager to advance their career in the hospitality industry. As an integral member of our management team, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating all food and beverage operations, including banquets and special events. Your responsibilities will be multifaceted, ranging from team leadership and training to operational management and quality control.
In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring that every dining experience for our members and guests is exceptional, promoting service excellence across all aspects of food and beverage delivery. Emphasizing continuous improvement, you will focus on staff development, operational efficiency, and maintaining compliance with health regulations and standards set forth by OSHA. You will be a visible presence within the club, greeting members, supervising staff, and ensuring that the facilities and equipment meet the Club's stringent standards of cleanliness and upkeep.
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will also play an important role in managing the beverage program, overseeing inventory, and handling accurate billing processes related to food and beverage services. You will actively participate in industry education opportunities, including CMAA certification programs, and maintain essential certifications such as ServSafe, TIPS, and Basic First Aid. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a private club, restaurant, or hotel
- Ability to maintain certifications such as ServSafe, TIPS, and Basic First Aid
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Must pass illegal drug testing as a condition of employment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work full-time hours including weekends and holidays as needed
Job Qualifications
- Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and effectively communicate with employees
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement optimal courses of action
- Excellent organizational skills
- A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a private club, restaurant, or hotel
- A 4-year degree in hospitality is preferred
- ServSafe and TIPS certification is a plus
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Job Duties
- Hiring, training, and supervising all food and beverage employees in your area of responsibility
- Coordinating food service between the kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless operations
- Enforcing club rules, regulations, and policies to maintain a high standard of service
- Actively participating and contributing to food and beverage meetings as required
- Communicating execution plans to the team before service begins through lineups
- Ensuring compliance with health regulations and OSHA standards in employee service areas
- Maintaining a high level of visibility by greeting members and staff daily
