Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to two years supervisory experience in a restaurant or beverage department
  • Appropriate licensure
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
  • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions and work with abstract and concrete variables
  • Must meet physical demands such as frequently standing and walking, and vision requirements including close and peripheral vision
  • Must be able to work in a loud, smoke-filled environment

Job Qualifications

  • Proficient mathematical skills including understanding of probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
  • Strong reasoning ability to define problems, gather data, and draw conclusions

Job Duties

  • Interact effectively with the public and team members
  • Perform excellent customer service at all times
  • Assist Food and Beverage Manager in enforcing performance standards, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with food and beverage health, liquor, and safety regulations
  • Maintain compliance with health and sanitation standards and food safety certification
  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, testing, selection, orientation, and training of team members
  • Schedule, evaluate, and train staff ensuring adherence to customer service standards
  • Ensure efficient floor operations for customer satisfaction
  • Review and approve personnel actions such as hiring, transfers, promotions, and disciplinary measures
  • Provide emergency coverage for various positions in the department
  • Maximize cost effectiveness by monitoring budgets, labor, and beverage benchmarks
  • Manage inventories of spirits and wine, ensuring security of alcohol
  • Complete and renew Alcohol Awareness Training and certifications
  • Address and resolve customer grievances
  • Monitor team member performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Review departmental reports and address potential conflicts or misinformation
  • Participate in training exercises focused on customer service and a harassment-free environment
  • Ensure maximum service levels in Food & Beverage areas
  • Receive payment from customers in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Adhere to company cash control policies and cashiering responsibilities
  • Support Food and Beverage Manager with operational discussions
  • Maintain consistent attendance and perform additional reasonable requests
  • Usher at events as needed by management
