This position is for an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. This critical leadership role involves supporting the day-to-day operations of multiple food and beverage outlets within the hotel, including Arc Bar, Third Star, The Market, and Sixes & Eights. The Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest service, operational consistency, and achieving strong financial performance across all outlets. This role demands hands-on leadership, requiring visibility on the floor to engage with guests and colleagues actively. The successful candidate will lead, coach, and develop team members through training, mentorship, and ongoing performance feedback. They will uphold Hyatt brand standards, ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols, and promote responsible alcohol service practices.
Additionally, the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will assist in labor management activities such as scheduling and inventory control, working closely with culinary and hotel operations leaders to execute service standards and operational priorities. The position offers a salary range of $67,200 to $84,000, commensurate with experience. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years experience in food and beverage management
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be a team player with leadership capability
- Wine and beverage knowledge preferred
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications

- Minimum of 2+ years as F&B management required

Job Duties
- Support the daily operation of Arc Bar, Third Star, The Market, and Sixes & Eights, ensuring exceptional service and operational consistency
- Lead, coach, and develop colleagues through training, mentorship, and performance feedback
- Maintain a strong floor presence, actively engaging with guests and resolving service opportunities as they arise
- Ensure compliance with Hyatt brand standards, food safety requirements, sanitation procedures, and responsible alcohol service practices
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, inventory controls, and cost-management initiatives
- Partner with culinary and hotel leadership teams to execute service standards and operational priorities
- Monitor outlet performance and identify opportunities to improve guest satisfaction, efficiency, and revenue
- Support hiring, onboarding, and colleague recognition efforts while fostering a positive and inclusive team culture
