This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the club's food and beverage outlets, focusing heavily on member and guest satisfaction. The Assistant Manager will assist in managing daily operations across multiple facets such as personnel training and development, menu planning, vendor relations, food production, inventory, and catering services. The role requires a hands-on management style, where the assistant manager will be actively involved in the dining experience by frequently engaging with members and guests to maintain exceptional service standards. The responsibility extends to supervising inventory levels, ensuring sanitation and safety standards are met, and collaborating with department leaders to meet operational goals. Additionally, the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager helps with staff recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions as needed, managing a team that could include supervisors, bartenders, servers, and other front-line staff. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or general education degree (ged)
- six months to one year of related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
- food safety and applicable sanitation training
- alcohol awareness training
- ability to read and speak english
- regular and reliable attendance
- ability to stand, walk, talk, hear frequently
- occasionally sit, use hands, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- regularly lifts up to 50 pounds
- occasionally works in wet or humid conditions
- occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions

Job Duties
- assists in management of daily functions of food and beverage including member and guest satisfaction and customer service
- trains and develops personnel
- manages menu mix, ordering, vendor relations and food production
- supervises inventory and maintains par levels
- regularly interacts with members and guests on dining floor
- ensures sanitation and safety standards
- inspects facility and equipment for maintenance
- completes reports and controls supplies distribution
- assists in menu planning and product pricing
- helps interview, hire, train, plan, assign, and direct work of associates
- evaluates performance and addresses complaints
- manages department members including supervisor, snack bar, beverage cart, bartender, server, food runner, bus person, and barback
- monitors business volume forecast and adjusts manpower and costs
- incorporates safe work practices
