Within this lively and evolving environment, LGM and Elmwood Golf Course are searching for a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join their energetic team. This full-time role is crucial in supporting the Food and Beverage Manager in the daily operations and strategic management of the department. The Assistant Manager's responsibilities include staff oversight, customer service excellence, inventory and financial control, and event planning coordination. The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of hospitality, ensuring effective team collaboration, and supporting the successful execution of both food service and special events hosted at the course. Mentorship of the food and beverage staff, coordination of schedules to align with event demands, and adherence to health, safety, and liquor regulations are fundamental duties in this position. Through active participation in staff meetings and operational planning, this role ensures tight integration between service delivery and management goals. Job Requirements

  • High diploma or GED required
  • Some college preferred
  • 6 months of previous management experience in Food and Beverage operations or related experience

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Some college preferred
  • 6 months of previous management experience in Food and Beverage operations or related experience
  • Knowledge in Food and Beverage operations including financial controls, staff management, and facilities and equipment management
  • Ability to provide high level of customer service with attention to detail
  • Understanding of safe food handling procedures and processes
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and POS systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Promote, work and act in a manner consistent with the values of LGM
  • Assist Food and Beverage Manager in the selection, management and coaching of the Food and Beverage department staff
  • Provide daily mentoring to the staff to ensure employees are trained and on task
  • Maintain department schedule to provide proper staffing for events and daily operations
  • Provide high levels of customer service to ensure expectations of members and guests are consistently exceeded
  • Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in maintaining financial records, compiling monthly/daily revenue reports
  • Assist with the serving of food and beverages to the guests
