Casino M8trix, the operator behind Zone 8 Sports Bar & Grill, is actively looking to hire an Assistant Food & Beverage Director. This pivotal role is designed for a dynamic leader capable of guiding the Food & Beverage Service staff with energy and professionalism to ensure guests enjoy an outstanding and entertaining experience from the moment they step into the venue. The role requires an individual with a strong foundation in food and beverage management, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for hospitality excellence.

As the Assistant Food & Beverage Director, the successful candidate will work closely with the Food & Beverage Director to maintain high standards of customer service, oversee multiple food service outlets including the restaurant, bar, retail food areas, and gaming sections, and actively contribute to achieving financial and operational goals. This position demands a proactive approach to staff mentorship, training, and motivation while managing day-to-day operations efficiently and effectively. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of Food & Beverage experience or Hospitality/Food & Beverage College degree
  • minimum of 3 years of Food & Beverage management experience
  • craft cocktail experience
  • creativity in developing cocktail menus
  • ability to train bar staff on cocktail preparation and service
  • experience directing bar staff on measured pouring, cleanliness, and station organization
  • strong knowledge of wine and beer
  • leadership, motivation, facilitation, and communication skills
  • professional presence and ability to lead by example

  • strong organizational skills
  • knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook

Job Duties

  • Assist with ensuring budgets stay on target, all accounting procedures are maintained
  • ensure training, mentoring, succession plans and morale are ongoing
  • recommend staff hiring, promotions, and discipline to the Food & Beverage Director
  • ensure service levels, and customer service is at the highest level
  • maintain compliance with Title 16, Minimum Internal Control Standards, State Gaming Regulations, and other applicable laws
  • oversee all food service outlets including restaurant, bar, retail food outlet, and gaming area
  • participate in establishing and meeting unit financial and operating goals
  • develop and maintain quality standards for outlets to ensure excellent customer service
  • organize and conduct departmental meetings and ongoing service training
  • maintain communication with all departments
  • assist in scheduling, orientating staff on work assignments, and provide necessary training
  • respond to guest complaints and management requests promptly
  • cooperate with managers and keep Food & Beverage Director informed of issues
  • attend all meetings and trainings
  • maintain regular attendance
  • enforce company standards and legal compliance
  • encourage safe and efficient operations
  • maintain confidentiality of business information
  • perform other duties as assigned
