The Food and Beverage Outlet Supervisor role at PENN Entertainment is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of designated food and beverage outlets during assigned shifts. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Associates degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum two years of Food and Beverage experience
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience
- Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve conflicts diplomatically
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Flexibility to work all shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to present information effectively to managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Successful completion of ServSafe Alcohol training certification course
Job Qualifications
- Associates degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum two years of Food and Beverage experience
- At least two years of previous supervisory experience
- Ability to interact with guests and staff to resolve conflicts diplomatically
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong written communication skills for reports and business correspondence
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations including rate, ratio, and percent
- Effective presentation skills to respond to management and public inquiries
- Successful completion of ServSafe Alcohol training certification
Job Duties
- Supervising an F&B outlet and overall daily management of designated shift
- Administering and managing operational goals and monitoring performance and profit objectives
- Coordinating scheduling and addressing scheduling concerns focusing on guest satisfaction
- Assisting in budget process and ensuring compliance with departmental budget initiatives
- Supporting and demonstrating superior customer service and ensuring team adherence to standards
- Enforcing gaming laws and regulations applicable to Food & Beverage department
- Assisting in maintaining food service procedures and inspecting menu items
- Monitoring cost control methods, inventory, and pars during shifts
- Assisting with administrative duties and regulatory compliance
- Maintaining confidentiality of departmental and company matters
- Leading staff development, training, and employee engagement programs
- Evaluating team member performance and providing feedback
- Making recommendations for staffing, hiring, and scheduling
- Managing workflow and work procedures
- Providing coaching, disciplinary actions, and counseling
