This exquisite resort is sprawled across 16 acres of meticulously maintained property in the heart of Silicon Valley. Known for its historic California ranch-style architecture, Rosewood Sand Hill offers a harmonious blend of sophistication and natural beauty. Guests are immersed in a serene environment with fragrant gardens and breathtaking views of the Santa Cruz Mountains, making the hotel an ideal retreat for executives, entrepreneurs, local residents, and visitors alike. With a five-star rating, the hotel prides itself on delivering superior guest experiences in a refined and welcoming atmosphere.

Rosewood Sand Hill boasts 121 elegantly appointed guest rooms designed to provide a tranquil and rejuvenating stay. The resort-like amenities cater to every guest's desire for relaxation and indulgence, including the renowned Sense, A Rosewood Spa®, which offers bespoke wellness treatments. Culinary experiences feature prominently at the property, with Madera Restaurant serving the freshest local ingredients in an inviting setting. The hotel offers a variety of experiences, from peaceful getaways in comfortable rooms to vibrant dining and entertainment options, making it a sought-after destination in the Bay Area.

The Assistant Manager position within the Food & Beverage Services department plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards for which Rosewood Sand Hill is known. This full-time, permanent role requires a dedicated professional committed to upholding exceptional guest service and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Manager, the Assistant Manager oversees all aspects of the outlet's functions, ensuring that the hotel’s standards are consistently met or exceeded. This position is vital in directing the food and beverage team, managing daily operations, and fostering a positive employee environment aligned with Rosewood Sand Hill's brand philosophy.

The Assistant Manager is entrusted with supervising and supporting a team of food and beverage associates, ensuring that proper training, scheduling, and performance management are effectively executed. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily service standards, verifying compliance with all departmental policies, and maintaining adherence to state liquor laws. The role demands proactive inventory management, staff coordination for optimal guest service, and collaboration with culinary and front desk teams to meet business needs and guest expectations.

The Assistant Manager also ensures meticulous attention to outlets’ physical conditions, cleanliness, and organization. They actively monitor guest satisfaction, address complaints promptly, and promote positive guest relations by responding to inquiries about hotel services and local attractions. Financial oversight is an important aspect of the role—tracking sales, managing payroll and tip distributions, approving void checks, and ensuring all cashiering procedures align with accounting standards.

This position requires exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and develop outlet associates, promote teamwork, and sustain a productive work environment. The ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate sound judgment, and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests and colleagues is essential. Candidates must be capable of working under pressure in a dynamic service environment, often involving long hours and physical tasks.

Salary for this Assistant Manager position ranges from $70,500 to $76,000 annually and is eligible for a bonus. Compensation will be determined based on experience, luxury hotel exposure, education, and location factors. Rosewood Sand Hill is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion, promoting a respectful workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
