The role of Assistant Executive Steward at Legends is a critical position responsible for overseeing all stewarding staff to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and order throughout the venue. This is a vital function supporting the hospitality and event operations departments to create a seamless and welcoming experience for guests and employees alike. The Assistant Executive Steward reports directly to the Executive Steward and plays a key supervisory role in ensuring that all operational areas such as kitchens, workrooms, and equipment are impeccably clean and well-maintained. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
This role demands presence and availability during event days, which are typically Sundays, but can also include Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays depending on event scheduling. The Assistant Executive Steward is tasked with directing the cleaning processes, overseeing the proper storage and maintenance of wares and equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols. The individual must demonstrate urgency, timeliness, and meticulous work habits to support high-pressure, dynamic environments. The role also emphasizes excellent communication, trustworthiness, and interpersonal skills that foster positive and productive relationships within the team and across organizational levels.

Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years’ experience in high-volume kitchen area
- must be able to work long flexible hours
- must be able to work extended hours including late nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to stand, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms
- ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- specific vision abilities including close and distance vision
- ability to work in a loud environment
- practice safe work habits and follow all safety policies and procedures
- report all safety incidents promptly according to company protocols
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Report directly to Executive Steward
- oversee all stewarding staff and maintain order
- ensure cleaning and storage of all wares and equipment in the restaurant
- execute stewarding and dish duties
- inspect kitchens, workrooms, and equipment for cleanliness and order
- direct efficient and effective cleaning of all areas including walls and floors
- ensure safety and security of employees and guests
