The Assistant Executive Housekeeper at Hyatt plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, order, and presentation of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, including nighttime cleaning operations. This position demands a thorough knowledge of housekeeping and laundry supplies, pars, and adherence to all safety and security protocols. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper supports the Executive Housekeeper by overseeing daily housekeeping activities, staff training, scheduling, and development, ensuring an efficient and motivated team. Additionally, this role requires a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests, VIPs, dignitaries, and various departments within the hotel. Experience in turndown service and special guest needs is highly valuable. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry supplies and pars
  • Ability to manage staff schedules and training
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact with guests, VIPs, and various hotel departments

Job Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • 2-3 years of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience
  • Service oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • Hotel/hospitality degree an asset
  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
  • Knowledge of Opera Cloud and Hot SOS
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills

Job Duties

  • Assist in overseeing the entire housekeeping area including public spaces and night cleaning
  • Ensure adherence to safety and security policies and procedures
  • Manage housekeeping and laundry supplies and pars
  • Assist with staff training, development, and scheduling
  • Promote a positive atmosphere that ensures customer and associate satisfaction
  • Interact effectively with guests, VIPs, dignitaries, and hotel departments
  • Support the Executive Housekeeper in daily operations and quality control
