The role of Assistant Executive Housekeeper is pivotal to the smooth operation of the hotel’s housekeeping department. This position requires a proactive leader who is eager to contribute to a superior guest experience by managing the daily cleaning and maintenance activities efficiently and safely. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will supervise housekeeping and laundry staff, plan and assign their tasks, and ensure all operational policies and standards are consistently met or exceeded. This leadership position involves hands-on responsibilities where the individual may take on the roles of housekeeper, laundry attendant, or house person when necessary to support the team.
Additionally, the Assistant Executive Housekeeper will conduct regular inspections of the hotel’s cleanliness and upkeep, implement special cleaning programs, and coordinate closely with other departments such as maintenance and front office management to ensure seamless operations. A critical aspect of this role is managing inventory and costs for supplies and labor, maintaining accurate records and logs, and addressing guest feedback by identifying and remedying issues swiftly. Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous housekeeping or hospitality management experience preferred
- strong communication and organizational skills

- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- experience with inventory management
- ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Ensures guest satisfaction by supervising the daily cleaning of hotel and grounds according to operational policies and standards
- schedules associates in accordance with forecasted occupancy
- adjusts staffing as necessary for sudden changes in occupancy
- plan, assign and supervise the daily activities of the housekeeping and laundry staff
- assumes the role of a housekeeper, laundry person or house person as needed
- conducts continual inspections to determine hotel’s overall level of cleanliness and condition
- performs follow up
- schedules and supervises all rotational and special cleaning programs as needed
