The Housekeeping Supervisor role is pivotal in ensuring the housekeeping department functions seamlessly according to the brand and hotel standards, alongside adhering to sustainability protocols. The supervisor will perform a variety of tasks aimed at maximizing guest satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness, safety, and appearance across guest rooms, public areas, and hotel grounds. They will lead by example, managing, training, and supporting housekeeping staff to meet and exceed service benchmarks. This role also includes scheduling responsibilities, inventory management, and compliance with safety and environmental guidelines.
Candidates for this position will play an integral role in enhancing guest experiences by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving complaints. The Housekeeping Supervisor will monitor staff performance rigorously, ensuring efficient operations and fostering a culture consistent with the company’s core values such as People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It. Additionally, the supervisor will contribute to policy development and implementation, specifically focusing on departmental efficiency and sustainability initiatives under the hotel group’s EarthView program.

The work environment requires flexibility with schedules that may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts, alongside physical demands of standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and other forms of physical activity. - Two years previous housekeeping supervisor experience required

Job Duties
- Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas and grounds for cleanliness, appearance and safety
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and service and resolve guests' complaints and concerns
- Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures
- Prepare schedules based upon occupancy and assign duties to workers and schedule shifts or notify vendor of weekly staffing needs
- Take inventory and submit periodic inventory orders to insure supplies are purchased timely
- Prepare required paperwork pertaining to departmental functions
- Be aware of and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the operation of the department or the hotel
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program
- Practice safe work habits
- follow MSDS and OSHA standards
- wear protective safety equipment and participate in safety committees as directed
- Perform other duties as requested by management
