With numerous locations nationwide, the company is dedicated to fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment that encourages professional growth and development for its team members. They offer comprehensive benefits and competitive pay to attract and retain top culinary talent.
The position available is for a full-time Assistant Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, Culinary Manager, or Senior Kitchen Manager. This role is vital to the successful operation of the restaurant's culinary department and involves assisting in managing the culinary team and overseeing kitchen operations to maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The role is non-exempt, with a pay range based on experience from $66,008.80 to $86,000.20 annually, equivalent to $23.08 to $30.07 per hour, assuming a 50-hour workweek.
As an Assistant Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager, you will have significant responsibilities including the hiring, training, and development of the kitchen staff. You will be accountable for operational excellence in the kitchen, ensuring that all menu items are prepared to P.F. Chang's exacting standards for quality and presentation while maintaining food safety and sanitation protocols. Leading by example, you will supervise and facilitate training programs to ensure the culinary team is knowledgeable and skilled. Managing inventory and controlling food costs will be an important part of your job to help maintain profitability. You will also handle scheduling for Sous Chefs and kitchen staff, oversee maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment, and ensure cleanliness and safety in the work environment.
This position demands a hands-on leader with at least two years of culinary management experience in a fast-paced, high volume setting. Candidates should have experience preparing and managing prep lists and demonstrate strong communication and organizational abilities. The ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift heavy objects is necessary due to the physical demands of kitchen work. The role may require occasional driving duties, such as providing shift coverage or catering deliveries, requiring a valid driver’s license. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and experience within a restaurant chain or franchise environment are preferred.
At P.F. Chang's, employees enjoy a supportive community with access to comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) plans, and paid time off. The company supports professional development through paid management training programs and offers incentives such as performance bonuses and employee referral bonuses. Most locations close on Thanksgiving and Christmas, providing holiday breaks. Additional perks include exclusive employee discounts and financial assistance programs for qualifying team members.
This opportunity is perfect for a passionate culinary professional looking to grow their career in a vibrant restaurant environment committed to quality, teamwork, and the celebration of life. Join P.F. Chang’s to be part of a family-oriented company that values your contributions and supports your professional journey.
