Job Qualifications
- minimum of 2-4 years of hotel/banquet/food and beverage or similar experience
- leadership experience preferred
- strong and concise verbal and written communication skills
- excellent organization and interpersonal skills
- proficiency in general computer knowledge
- ability to problem solve and multi-task
- ability to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances
- ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weights
Job Duties
- monitor the daily functions of the Banquet/Event Services department
- coordinate and execute all hotel events in the hotel’s event space
- support and manage Banquet/Event Services and Event Set Up teams
- work closely with Event Sales and Event Planning teams
- supervise, coach, and motivate the events team
- assist the hotel in achieving top service scores
- ensure timely and proper setup of all functions
- review staffing and equipment needs
- maintain a positive and professional atmosphere
- develop innovative ideas to enhance food and beverage function
- facilitate payroll, reports, forecasts, point of sale procedures, inventory and budget for food and beverage functions
