Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-4 years relevant experience in hotel, banquet, or food and beverage operations
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with computers and point of sale systems
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances
- Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Must be a team player with a positive and proactive attitude
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-4 years of hotel, banquet, food and beverage or similar experience
- Leadership experience preferred
- Strong and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization, interpersonal and administrative skills
- Proficiency in general computer knowledge
- High energy and motivational leadership skills
- Effective communicator
- Strong developer and trainer
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to problem solve and multitask

Job Duties
- Effectively and proactively monitor the daily functions of the banquet and event services department
- Ensure coordination and execution of all hotel events in the hotel’s 70,000 square feet of event space
- Support and manage the banquet/event services and event setup teams
- Work closely with the event sales and event planning teams and other hotel departments
- Supervise, empower, lead, coach and motivate the events team
- Assist the hotel in reaching top service scores on meeting planner and guest surveys
- Ensure thorough communication and understanding with guests and other departments
- Responsible for the appropriate and timely setup of all functions, meetings and food service while maintaining food and beverage specifications
- Proactively review staffing and equipment needs
- Maintain a high energy, positive and professional atmosphere
- Develop innovative ideas to enhance food and beverage functions
- Facilitate payroll, reports, forecasts, point of sale procedures, inventory and budget for food and beverage functions
