Job Requirements

- 1–3 years of banquet or event services experience
- ability to work weekends and holidays
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Job Qualifications
- 1–3 years of banquet, event services, or hospitality leadership experience (hotel or resort preferred)
- a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- refined verbal communication skills
- ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances
- ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 50 pounds)
- must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- proficient in basic computer skills
- comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments and outdoor venues
Job Duties
- Oversee all event setups, service flow, and breakdowns according to BEO specifications
- ensure event spaces are prepared accurately, on time, and in alignment with Hyatt Regency Tamaya standards
- monitor event progress, resolve issues quickly, and ensure a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure
- coordinate with culinary, AV, and other departments to maintain smooth operations
- supervise banquet servers, housemen, bartenders, and support staff throughout the event lifecycle
- assist with training, coaching, scheduling, and performance feedback
- lead pre-shift meetings to communicate event details, service expectations, and safety reminders
- serve as the on-site contact for meeting planners, wedding coordinators, and event hosts
- respond promptly to client requests and make real-time adjustments as needed
- maintain a polished, professional presence throughout each event
- assist with inventory control, equipment management, and linen/ware usage
- support labor cost management, payroll, and scheduling
- ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- champion Hyatt’s purpose and values and model Hyatt’s purpose of caring for people so they can be their best
- foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and genuine hospitality
- encourage innovation and continuous improvement within the banquet team
- identify opportunities to enhance service flow, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency

- coach, mentor, and support team members in their growth and career development
